All people have innate psychological needs that drive their behavior, choices, and personality. For example, if someone has a strong psychological need for harmony, that may manifest in a composed and receptive demeanor. This is because they’ve learned throughout their life—largely unconsciously—that listening to people and remaining calm will encourage the harmony they crave.
In order to understand why people act in certain ways, consider the psychological needs behind each personality type. We have a new poster to help you and your learners keep these needs in mind. The Everything DiSC Agile EQ profile (available on Catalyst) explores these drivers in depth.
