Q: When I hear reference to DiSC “cornerstone principles,” what does that mean?
A: Each Everything DiSC® profile has a short list of cornerstone principles that orient the learner to the core assumptions of the tool. For example, Everything DiSC Workplace® tells us that “All of the DiSC styles are equally valuable and everyone is a blend of all four styles.” Or, for Everything DiSC® Productive Conflict, “Your response to conflict situations is in your own control. You cannot control how others respond to conflict.” For Everything DiSC® Agile EQ™, “Your EQ is not fixed,” and “There are different ways to be emotionally intelligent.”
Reviewing cornerstone principles is a great way to start when debriefing DiSC assessment results or proposing a DiSC program to your company’s decision-makers. Read the DiSC cornerstone principles here »
