Do you celebrate Halloween? Depending where you are in the world, October might be spooky season! There are many fun ways to incorporate Halloween themes into your DiSC trainings or staff meetings. DiSC can also be useful when deciding on a costume.
Dressing up for Halloween can be a chance to try out a different personality for a night. Or, a chance to be extra-you. For example, D styles might dress as an Olympic athlete to celebrate their love of competition. Social i styles can bring people together for a group costume. S styles might honor an overlooked hero and C styles can find the joy of pun-based costumes.
The “Sunday Scaries” are the feelings of anxiety or fear we experience on Sunday when thinking about the upcoming workweek. Discover DiSC style-based strategies for coping with them on LinkedIn, Instagram, or Facebook.
Zombies, goblins, yes—but also: Public speaking! Conflict! Data entry! Asking for help! Each DiSC style has core fears that drive their choices and behaviors. Spooky season is a good time to review these fears.

Whether your training is online or in person, think ahead about what accessibility measures you can bake into the event (captioning, etc.). You'll often find that accessibility improvements benefit everyone. When scheduling a training, let participants know how to request accommodations. Have a plan for how you'll respond to various common requests. There are many resources on making your events accessible such as this checklist from Cornell University.
